Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo de Portalegre

The School of Hospitality and Tourism of Portalegre (Portugal) has been operating since 2008 as part of the network of Schools of the Turismo de Portugal. Located in the Alentejo region, with a very consolidated touristic dynamics, the School of Hospitality and Tourism of Portalegre focuses its action on initial and continuous training in the areas of cooking, pastry, catering and beverages. The school's training offer includes double certification courses (3 years), on-the-job courses (1 year) and technological specialisation courses (1.5 years). All courses have a very strong practical component that is promoted in the application restaurant, which is open to the public. In this way, but also in the organization and preparation of various types of events, students have the opportunity to have training in a real work context, narrowing their connection to the world of tourism and hospitality.
